NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Mary Anne Lazarus Russell, 78, of Meadville, who died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at the Meadville Convalescent Home, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Jean Holland officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Russell was born Sept. 27, 1935, in Bude, the daughter of Horace William and Mary Templeton Lazarus.

She was of the Baptist faith. She worked for many years as a daycare worker at Adams County Christian School in Natchez.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon H. Russell; sisters, Winnie Lee Lazarus McPhate and Irene Lazarus Huff; and one brother, Ernest Glenn Lazarus.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly White, of McComb; one grandchild, Jarrod P. White; one brother, Charles Lenox Lazarus and wife, Anne, of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her bright smile and sense of humor.

Pallbearers will be Mike Lazarus, Steve Lazarus, Ross Gaudet and Kippy Blaney.
