NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Malzie Hagler, 95, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 2 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nance Hixon officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services today at Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hagler was born Jan. 10, 1918, in Bonifay, Fla., the daughter of David Zachery Adkins and Naomi Gertrude Pitts Adkins. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star Chapter No. 75.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hagler.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Doering of Natchez; a grandson, Collin Dix Doering of Natchez; three nieces, Patricia Williams of Tallahassee, Fla., Gloria Brown of Niceville, Fla. and Nancy Riley of Bonifay.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Whitney, Ronnie Wingfield and Dix Doering.
