NATCHEZ — Services for Flora Mae Nelson, 77, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. David McGuffee officiating.

Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday  at the church.

Mrs. Nelson was born Sept. 29, 1936, in Adams County, the daughter of Allen L. Coley and Eva Mae Hammack Coley.

She was a member of the Highland Baptist Church and was employed at Piggly Wiggly for 15 years. Mrs. Nelson was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Estella Coley.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Nelson of Natchez; two sons: Rickey Nelson and wife, Walea, and Jerry Nelson, all of Natchez; five grandchildren, Shaunta Sikes and her husband, David, of Wentsville, Mo., Rickey Nelson Jr. and wife, Nikki, of Natchez, Jerry Nelson Jr. of Corpus Christie, Texas, Constance Nelson of Lafayette, La., and Taylor LaPrairie and husband, Eric, of Natchez; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Webb and Mary Brumfield and husband, Joe, all of Natchez; two brothers, Allen B. Coley and wife, Carolyn, and William Coley and wife, Ida Mae, all of Natchez; and a number nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wells, Keith Wells, James Allen Coley, James Odis Coley, Curtis Nelson and Keister Dellinger.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Nelson Jr. Eric LaPrairie, Spanky Brumfield and Boo Brumfield.
