2:14 Ann Snell obitpicNATCHEZ — Services for Ann H. Snell, 68, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. John Scott Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Snell was born Jan. 10, 1946, in Centreville, the daughter of Frazier Holmes and Elizabeth Russell Holmes.

She accepted Christ at an early age at the Centreville Baptist Church, also affiliated with Mt. Olive Baptist Church and later joined Christian Hope Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful member.

She was a retired child care director with Golden Days Day Care Center.

Mrs. Snell is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Paul F. Holmes; one niece, Saundra Holmes; and a nephew, Isice Jones II.

Survivors include three daughters, Darskey S. McMorris and husband, Gregory, Sanqnetta S. Givens and husband, John, and Kenyada T. Snell and companion, Wesley, all of Natchez; one sister, Faye Holmes Jones and husband, Isice, of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren, John K. Givens III, Jerry W. Thomas Jr., Kayla A. McMorris, CeDarius R. Dunmore, Tia A. McMorris, Elijah J.L. Brown, Saniyah J. Givens and Gregory P. McMorris, all of Natchez; one great-grandchild, Noah L. Givens; one goddaughter, Jasmine J. Jones, of Dallas; and a number of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
