MONTEREY — Graveside services for Sonnie Lamar Ferrell, 61, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, will be at 2 p.m. today at Ferrell Family Cemetery in Monterey.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Ferrell was born Sept. 14, 1952, in Monterey, the son of Virginia Watson.

Survivors include his mother; three sons, Justin Ferrell, of Texas, Cole Rabb, of Monterey, and Montana Ferrell Tipton, of Georgia; one daughter, Natasha Ferrell, of Ferriday; one brother, Don Ferrell, of New Era; two sisters, Angie Fannin, of Florida, and Bettye Allen, of Monterey; one grandson, Justice Ferrell; one granddaughter, Lauren Rabb; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Jack Little, Ethan Allen, Brad New, Ronnie Thompson, Leighton Ferrell and Henry King.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Ater, Al Ater, Buddy Tenner, Bobby Little, Allen Whitehead, Brody “Bear Baby” Ferrell and Caitlin Ferrell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Young’s Funeral Home in Sonnie Ferrell’s name.
