Feb. 21-27:

Thomas Lee Oliver charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Adaryl McDowell pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting in an amount being more than $500 in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court. Sentenced to two years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving one year, the defendant shall be placed on formal post-release supervision for one year with MDOC. Full credit given for time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay restitution of $322.35, all court costs and fees as well as a $200 prosecution fee.

Tuesday, Feb. 25:

Byrne Nix, who was convicted of burglary and kidnapping and sentenced to 15 years in MDOC suspended and placed on post release supervision for five years on May 11, 2005, has his post release supervision terminated in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court for conforming to the condition of said post release supervision and conducting himself in a law-abiding manner.

Kareem Latrell Baldwin has his post-release supervision revoked in Johnson’s court for clearly being in violation of the terms of his supervision as he tested positive for illegal drugs (synthetic marijuana) on June 12, 2013, and as he pleaded guilty to simple assault charges in the Adams County Justice Court on Dec. 17, 2013. Must serve one and one-half years or the remaining balance of his sentence in MDOC. After serving said sentence, the defendant shall have no further supervision with MDOC. Full credit given for time already served in the Adams County Jail.

Monday, Feb. 24:

Garrick L. Johnson, who was convicted of possession of a stolen firearm and placed on one year probation on Jan. 9, 2013, has successfully completed his probation and the charge is dismissed in Sanders’ court.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Friday, Feb. 21:

Evan Nuzum, 26, pleaded no lo contender and convicted by court to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.

Dylan Stanford, 22, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Carolyn V. Shelton, 23, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.

Archie Kentrell Doss, 21, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323. Doss also pleaded guilty to shoplifting — second offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 47 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 13 days in jail. Fine set at $673.

Rodrick K. Hart, 26, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 26 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Served four days in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573 minus $25 suspended. Must pay a fine of $548. Hart also pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.

Monday, Feb. 24:

Steven Nations, 22, charged with public drunkenness. Case remanded to files. Nations also pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Fine set at $423.

William Gregory Rouse II, 19, charged with public drunkenness. By prosecution and consent of officer, recommended to be remanded to file by defense.

David L. Mitchell, 53, found guilty of disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $673.

Mayeaux Defour, 48, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 26 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve four days in jail. Banned from Natchez Market 2. Fine set at $573.

Brandy Butts, 25, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Fine set at $573.

Vincent Carter pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Served three days in jail. Fine set at $623.

Tuesday, Feb. 25:

Deborah S. Miller, 53, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor shoplifting. Sentenced to 60 days with 43 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Belk. Fine set at $1,000.

James A. Jackson Jr., 25, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. Three days served already. Fine set at $623.

Larry E. Smith, 24, charged with burglary — breaking out of a dwelling. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced to $30,000.

Wednesday, Feb. 26:

Darnesia Hickombottom, 27, found not guilty of disturbing the peace.

Jeremy Williams, 29, pleaded guilty to amended charge of disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523.

Glennese M. Scott, 34, found not guilty of disturbing the peace.

India R. Dobbins, 29, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.

Bobbie Rene Woods, 42, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 25 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve five days in jail. Banned from Burke’s Outlet. Fine set at $643. Woods also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423.

Debbie Renee Mayes, 31, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Nathen Wilson Jr., 58, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. One day served. Fine set at $573.
