NATCHEZ — Services for James Allen Joiner, 74, of Crystal Springs, who died Monday, March 3, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.

Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Joiner was born Sept. 19, 1939, in Collins, the son of Lewis Alonzo Joiner and Ella Eileen Alexander Joiner.

He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was always happy and had positive thoughts about life. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Joiner was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two sons, James B. Joiner and wife, Kellie and David P. Joiner; one grandson, James C. Joiner; one granddaughter, Arissa Joiner; one sister, Sandra Calhoun; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be James B. Joiner, David P. Patrick Joiner, Lewis Calhoun Jr., Jimmy Calhoun, Robert Lee King Jr. and Brian Johnson.
