Jacqueline Blackwell announces the engagement of her daughter, Lakesha Latrice Blackwell, to Maurice Maccio Lewis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Davis of West Hills, Calif., and the late Morris Lewis.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and also attended Alcorn State University.

She is the granddaughter of Josephine Blackwell and the late Foster M. Gordon Sr.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and also a graduate of Alcorn State University.

He is the grandson of late Mrs. Ordemese S. Knight and the late Hillery Knight Sr.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Vue Hotel. Formal invitations will be sent.
