Wanda G. Green-Smith and husband Bobby of Kirby and Kenneth Louis Dawson of Milwaukee announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Krystal Shanice Green of Bude to James Edward McBride of Olenburg, son of the late Robert and Mattie McBride.

The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Franklin High School in Meadville, a 2013 graduate of Southwest Community College in McComb with an associate of arts degree and is currently attending Alcorn State University.

She is employed by McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

She is the granddaughter of the late Joe and Emily “Doll” Green of Kirby, the late Melton and Thelma Jean Dawson, George Lovett and Jessie Jackson all of Dallas.

The groom-to-be is a 1994 graduate of Franklin High School in Meadville.

He is the grandson of the late Alex and Emma Jackson and James and Rebecca McBride all of Olenburg.

He is employed by Basic Marine Service.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Magnolia Hall in Natchez.
