FERRIDAY — Services for Lena Louise Sikes, 84, of Ridgecrest, who died Friday, March 28, 2014, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Braswell officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Heard Cemetery in Manifest under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sikes was born June 21, 1929, in Rayville, La., the daughter of the James Roscoe and Zula Harrison

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles A. Sikes; infant son, Charles Calvin Sikes; two grandsons, Larry Sikes Jr. and Daryl Sikes Jr.; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include four sons, Larry E. Sikes Sr. of Tioga, Dwayne Sikes of Ridgecrest, Randy Sikes of St. Louis, Mo. and Daryl Sikes of Ridgecrest; eight grandchilren, Sean Sikes, Angel Schlotterbeck, Jenni Wadleigh, Craig Sikes, Daniel Sikes, Kimberly Thiels, David Sikes and Jessie Sikes; 18 great-grandchilren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
