NATCHEZ — Services for Bernice J. Delaney, 92, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Clinton, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Delaney was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Delhi, the daughter of William Albert Frost and Mary Ann Syckes Frost.

She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia.

Mrs. Delaney was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Delaney; and one daughter, Betty Jo Tarver.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Tarver of Natchez and Walter “Buddy” Mullins Jr. of Central; one daughter, Doris Allen of Mangham; two brothers, William Frost of Texas and Earl Holliman of Hollywood, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Mullins of Vidalia and Bobby Mullins of Brandon; and a number of grandchildren and great-granchildren.

Pallbearers will be Frank Smith Sr., Frank Smith Jr., Darron Mullins, Timothy McCann, Larry Smith and Kenneth Allen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Ray Tharpe, Joe Mercer and Walter Ray Tharpe.
