Annual golf tournament a success

The 10th annual Golf Tournament to benefit Area 7 Special Olympics was hosted Saturday April 27 at Duncan park Golf Course.

Our tournament was a huge success due to the generosity of everyone for sponsoring a team, all the many hole sponsors and those donating door prizes, food, refreshments, snacks, and monetary donations.  Winner of the ball drop sponsored by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department was Kenny Rushing, and our own special athlete Randy Bielefield won second place.

A special thank you goes to our committee of volunteers and parents that gave of their time and lots of hard work to make our tournament a success.

Most of all our Special Olympics athletes thanks everyone for your support and ask you to come the Special Olympics torch run to be held today and to cheer the Adams County Sheriffs Department deputies, as they run the torch through down town Natchez at 9 a.m. on its way to the Summer Games at Keesler air Force Base in Biloxi May 9 to 11.
