Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Monday, May 19

Eric W. Patton pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Further ordered that the defendant must enter into and successfully complete the long term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program. After serving five years of said sentence, the remaining balance is suspended and the defendant is placed on five years post release supervision. Within 90 days upon release from MDOC, the defendant must pay all court costs and prosecution fees of $200 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Within six months of release from MDOC, the defendant must pay restitution of $3,597 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Wednesday, May 28

Michael Lavelle Carter, 26, charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case remanded to files.

Bruce Leonard Cauthen, 52, charged with simple assault. Case remanded to files — requested of the defense attorney.

Raymond Fleming, 25, charged with malicious mischief. Case dismissed because he paid for damage.

Robert Vanderson, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 26 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve four days in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.
