NATCHEZ — Services for Dorothy Weir Green, 65, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 30, 2014, at University Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Simon officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Green was born March 16, 1949, in Franklin County, the daughter of Freddie Weir Sr. and Essie Hunt Weir.

She was a registered nurse and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

She loved her pet, Pepper.

Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, Marrion Green; her parents; and one brother, Thomas Weir.

Survivors include four children, Orlando Green and wife, Mzchele, of Gulfport, Ventris Green and wife, Shalanda, Marian Green and Nigel Green, all of Natchez; three grandchildren, Anthony Green of Atlanta, Trinity Clemmons and Emiri Clemmons, both of Natchez; one brother, Freddie Weir and wife, Hattie; six sisters, Gloria Middleton, Ernestine Thomas and husband, James, Mildred Briggs, Mary Ruth Hoggatt, and Annie Eliza Singleton, all of Natchez; and Elsie Turner and husband, Bill Joe, of Hattiesburg; one uncle, Leroy Jackson; one aunt, Helen Hoggatt; and five sisters-in-law, Getta Singleton and husband, William, Versa Cole, Roseanna Lenoir, all of Natchez, Betty Burler of Rowlett, Texas, and Katie Ruth Dinelli, of Detroit.
