It’s Cajun time!

A time to think of chicken and sausage Andouille, venison sauce piquant and jambalaya.

A Cajun party fundraiser for the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society will be hosted from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the beautiful Victorian home of Buddy and Lynette Tanner, located at 4651 Louisiana 568 in Ferriday on Lake St. John.

The house is located .7 miles past Duck’s Nest Restaurant on the right. Just look for the giant green inflatable alligator.

A $25 donation per person can be paid at the door, and all money collected will benefit the homeless pets at the humane society’s shelter on Liberty Road in Natchez.

The delicious foods mentioned above will be prepared by Paul Melancon of Cajun Cookin’ Restaurant.

James Davis from the Natchez National Historical Park will be preparing his famous crawfish etouffee.

Local musician Sylvia Johns Ritchie will provide donated items that will surely catch your attention.

Please note that an elevator is available for people who may not want to climb the stairs.

Come relax with us.

You can sit inside or you may want to sit outside where the tables will be decorated with an alligator and Cajun theme.

Remember, you can always visit our website at natchezpetadoptions.org or come see us at 392 Liberty Road.

Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 549, Natchez, MS 39210.

Summer is our busiest time, and we are loaded with plenty of pets available for adoption.

Please feel free to contact me by email at suscallon@yahoo.com or by calling 601-660-5268.

Hope to see you there.
