On behalf of my client, this letter is written to commend the Natchez Police Department, and more specifically, Sgt. Torrance McArthur for the prompt and courteous response to a motor vehicle accident June 2 headed northbound on U.S. 61 toward Monroe, La.

My client was rear ended by a Mack truck and was very upset after this incident.

McArthur was extremely professional in his handling of the investigation, and he was kind and a true gentleman to her.

After the accident, McArthur invited my client to follow him to Jason’s Body Shop, where the owner, Jason, took his time to repair her vehicle. Jason was considerate, kind, respectful and efficient.

I would also like to add that in 1991, the mayor of Natchez at the time, David Armstrong, bestowed upon Linda Noe Laine an honorary citizenship of Natchez. She is justly proud to be a citizen of this fine city.
