NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Don Neilan Phipps, 59, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 16, 2014, at Camelot Nursing Home in Ferriday, after a lengthy battle with cancer, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Natchez City Cemetery.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Phipps was born June 24, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Dan MacDonald Phipps and Juanita Wilkinson Phipps.

He received his associates degree in restaurant management from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez.

Before his illness, he was employed by Lil Dagos Restaurant.

Mr. Phipps was preceded in death by his parents, Dan MacDonald Phipps and Juanita Wilkinson Phipps Duncan.

Survivors include two sons, Julian D. Phipps and wife, Tabitha, of Vidalia, and Brad Kyzer of Natchez; six grandchildren; one brother, Edward Phipps of Natchez; and one uncle, E.E. “Buzzy” Wilkinson of Marksville.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Natchez Adams County Humane Society (NACHS) Cat Fund, P.O. Box 549, Natchez, MS, 39121.
