Take another look at Miss. ballot

Have Mississippians considered that Thad Cochran is getting very old? He probably won’t last on the job for another 6 years. I for one, do not want a governor-appointed Senator after Cochran decides to retire.

Why not give a younger, more vigorous candidate a chance, since we have to have a new person anyway?

We can do it now with a nice, conservative young man who promises to quit spending like there is no tomorrow. Who knows what we’ll get from a governor appointment.

Everyone talks about needing term limits. These old, out-of-touch with folks back home Senators need to be limited. If Congress won’t limit themselves to a limited number of years, the voters should.

I for one, do not believe Cochran has the energy to go to bat for us on important issues. I am ready for a younger, more energetic Senator. Maybe we’ll actually hear that he is doing something other than drawing a paycheck.

Cochran keeps bringing up Katrina. How many years ago was that? What has he done for us lately? It seems he’s voting to keep our children and grandchildren in debt.

Let’s give a younger, more conservative guy a chance.
