FERRIDAY Three people were injured in a single-vehicle wreck near Lake St. John early Saturday morning.

Louisiana State Police Spokesman Scott Moreau said troopers responded to the scene of the single-vehicle accident in the 6400 area of Louisiana 569 at 2:59 a.m. Saturday.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick said the people in the vehicle had to be removed using extrication equipment.

Moreau said the driver, Matthew Anders, 26, of Natchez, received moderate injuries and was transported to Riverland Medical Center for treatment.

Two passengers — a male in his 20s and a female whose age was not listed in the LSP report — were also transported to area hospitals with moderate injuries.

Moreau said reports with the LSP did not state the cause of the wreck, but no serious injuries resulted from it.

LSP reports did not say if Anders was charged in the incident, Moreau said.

The Concordia Fire District No. 2 also responded to the scene of the wreck.
