According to Natchez Police Lt. Justin Robinson, witnesses said a Toyota pickup, at top right, failed to yield to an oncoming GMC pickup while turning on to Camellia Avenue from the southbound lane of Seargent S. Prentiss Drive. The GMC swerved in an attempt to avoid the Toyota, but the vehicles still collided. (Thomas Graning / The Natchez Democrat)

The vehicles came to a rest against a lightpole with the Toyota pinned on its side by the GMC. All three occupants of the Toyota were trapped. The three were transported by helicopter after being freed. The two occupants of the GMC were uninjured. According to Robinson, the investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. (Thomas Graning / The Natchez Democrat)
