Vidalia — Concordia Parish residents, and maybe even some with sauce-stained chins, could see themselves on national television Wednesday night.

The show BBQ Crawl, hosted by Diva Q Pittmaster — otherwise known as Danielle Dimovski — filmed at the Jim Bowie Festival and Barbecue Throwdown last September, and the episode featuring the event will air Wednesday on the Travel Chanel.

Ann Westmoreland, who helps organize the barbecue contest for the festival, said Diva Q decided to come to Vidalia after seeing how aggressively the Jim Bowie Festival was marketing.

Westmoreland said the television and culinary celebrity enjoyed her time in Vidalia and hopes that excitement shows through in the episode.

“We’re just so excited for it to come on,” Westmoreland said. “We’ve been waiting and waiting since they were here, and it’s finally going to be on TV, so we want everyone to tune in and watch.”

Dimovski is the highest-ranked Canadian competitive barbecue on the Kansas City Barbecue Society team listing. She was also featured on two seasons of BBQ Pitmasters on TLC.

The episode featuring the Jim Bowie BBQ Throwdown will air at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Travel Channel.
