Jerry and Arlene Johns of Ferriday announce the engagement of their daughter, Emilee Johns to Joey Roberts, son of Randy and Cindy Roberts of Clayton.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Huntington High School in Ferriday, is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Washburn University in Topeka, Kan.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Edward “Jack” Johns of Wisner and Mrs. Betty Blake and the late Harold “Bill” Blake of Greenwood.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Huntington High School in Ferriday and is a graduate of Louisiana Technical College in West Monroe, La.

He is employed by Noble Drilling.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malcolm “Mike” Harrell of Clayton and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Elvin “Tobe” Roberts of Vidalia.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church.

A reception will follow at Panola Woods Country Club in Ferriday.

Family and friends are invited.

Formal invitations will be sent to out-of-town guests only.
