SICILY ISLAND — Services for Earl L. Reed, 59, of Sicily Island, who died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in New Salem Church Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Reed was born Nov. 27, 1954, in Pineville, the son of Isaiah and Elnora Ambers Reed.

He was a farmer.

Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one brother, Giles Reed of Lafayette; four sisters, Jennie Reed of Sicily Island, Grethen Reed of New Orleans, Irene Jeannette Reed of Petersburg, Va., and Ellen Murphy and husband, Ivory, of Sherwood, Ark.; and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.
