SHREVEPORT — Private memorial services for Max R. Mullins Sr., 68, of Shreveport, who died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, were at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Mullins was born Nov. 7, 1945, in Natchez, the son of Clyde W. and Vergie Case Mullins.

He was a retired petroleum landman.

Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Max R. Mullins Jr. and wife, Libby, of Brookeland, Texas; one daughter, Elizabeth Mullins Turner and husband, Blake, of Natchez; two granddaughters, Brittany Funderburg and Brooks Turner, both of Natchez; one great-grandson, James Campbell Blunschi of Natchez; one brother, Phillip Mullins Sr. and wife, Sandra, of Shreveport; two nephews, Phillip Mullins Jr. and wife, Angela, and Patrick Mullins and wife, Kristy, all of Shreveport; five great nephews and nieces, all of Shreveport.

Memorials may be made to the ASPCA or the Natchez-Adams Humane Society.
