Softball roundup: Weather postpones games

ST. JOSEPH, La. — Trinity Episcopal’s fast-pitch softball team will have to wait until later this week to play its MAIS District 7-A opener.

That’s because the Lady Saints’ game at Tensas Academy scheduled for Monday afternoon was postponed becasue of inclement weather. No make-up date has been set on that game.

Also, Trinity’s home games against district opponent Tallulah Academy that were scheduled Thursday will now be played on Wednesday. The junior varsity game will be at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the varsity game at 6 p.m.

ACCS at Prentiss Christian postponed

PRENTISS — The Adams County Christian School Lady Rebels will have to wait a full week to begin play in MAIS District 5-AA. Their JV and varsity games at Prentiss Christian School was rained out Monday afternoon.

ACCS will next play at Wilkinson County Christian Academy today with the JV game at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at approximately 7 p.m. Its varsity opener will now be a home game against Central Hinds Academy Monday.

The Lady Rebels will play host to Prentiss Christian on Tuesday, Sept. 9, for a varsity doubleheader starting at 5:30 p.m.
