NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Carolyn Ann Greer Wise, 84, of Johnson City, Tenn., formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, in Johnson City, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. John Kramer officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wise was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Brookhaven, the daughter of Luther Robert Cannon and Carie Starkey Aldridge Cannon. She was the widow of Homer Ray Wise.

Mrs. Wise was Methodist.

She was a former postmistress, a post she was given twice.

She attended Mississippi State College for Women, Millsaps and Mississippi State University. She was a member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club, the American Clan Gregor Society and First Families of Mississippi.

Mrs. Wise also was a member of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century of Jackson and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her adoptive parents, Sedley Joseph Greer and Annie Ruth Greer; her husband; one son, Carey Hicks Wise; two grandsons, Homer Lee McCraven and Carey Eugene McCraven; and a twin brother, Sedley Joseph Greer Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Ann Greer McCraven and Anna Rae Dutro; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Kathleen McCraven and Carie Ann Payne; one grandson, Rodney Lynn Dutro; 12 great-grandchildren, Jacqueline Alexandra McCraven, Genesis Leilani Dutro, Trinity Nicole Dutro, Zion Morgan Dutro, Eden Moriah Dutro, Nicholas Ray Payne, Samuel Keith Payne, Ryan Gilead Payne, James Cole Payne, Nikolai Ray Lee McCraven, Vasilisa Leah Anabello McCraven and Valentin Rodolfo Emiliano McCraven; and one great-great-grandchild, Macee Lizabeth Neely.
