FERRIDAY — Services of James Claiborne, 48, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, in Natchez, will be at noon Saturday at Greater St. Reed Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Claiborne was born Oct. 28, 1965, in Natchez, the son of Willie Ford and Lucy Claiborne.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Wilson.

Survivors include his companion, Matilda Lee; one son, James Claiborne, both of Ferriday; one brother, David Claiborne and wife, Kenesha, of Seabrook, Texas; and one grandson, Jaden Galtney of Ferriday.
