NATCHEZ — Funeral services for John Allen Swalm, 59, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Walton Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Swalm was born April 4, 1955, the son of Rank Steven Swalm and Ester Rose Beer Swalm.

He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was employed by Jordan, Kaiser & Sessions of Natchez for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Peter Swalm.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Elizabeth Browning Swalm of Natchez; three daughters; Alison Leigh Swalm Prescott and husband, Richard Hartman Prescott III, Jessica Layne Swalm Byrne and husband, Robert Priester Byrne, Stephanie Lees Swalm Jones and Will Jones all of Natchez; five grandchildren, Abby Lees Faust, Liam Jones, Rachel Leigh Prescott, Richard Hartman Prescott IV and Elizabeth Layne Byrne; mother, Ester Rose Beer Swalm of Magee; three brothers, Michael Swalm and wife, Jan, of Lawrence, Kansas, Christopher Swalm and wife, Renee, of Slidell, La., and David Swalm and wife, Kathy, of Magee; one sister, Beth Pudas and husband, Matt, of Magee; brothers-in-law, Lester Layne Browning III and Sharon Parker Browning and David Lees Browning and partner, Guy Bass; 10 nieces and nephews and very good friends, Kevin Dodge, Randy Kirk and Don Herrington.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Dodge, Les Browning, Donald Rice, Will Jones, Rick Prescott and Priester Byrne.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Prescott Jr. and Richard Crook.

Memorial may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church.
