Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Wednesday, Sept. 17

James Keith Mays pleaded guilty to burglary of a storehouse (Count II) and grand larceny in an amount being more than $1,000, but less than $5,000 (Count III) in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court. Counts I and IV as well as Cause No. 12-KR-0004-S are dismissed. Sentenced to seven years on Count II and five years on Count III to run concurrent in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Must pay all court costs and fees as well as a $200 prosecution fee.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Friday, Sept. 12

Timothy Jerel Dukes, 24, charged with contempt of court – violating no contact order. Case dismissed.Dukes was also charged with simple assault — domestic violence second offense. Case dismissed.

Lillian Ford, 32, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Michael Griffin, 54, pleaded guilty to nine counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $3,173.54.

Mario Hartwell, 21, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.Hartwell also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523.

Dantashia McGuire, 18, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $573.

Danteria McGuire, 21, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $573.

Monday, Sept. 15

Appollonia M. Jenkins, 19, charged with disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Case dismissed – officer is no longer employed.

Angeleque B. King, 35, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor shoplifting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $1,050. King, was also charged with shoplifting — first offense. Case remanded to files — subject plea on other charge and medical condition. Banned from all Walmart locations.

Latoya Paker, 31, found not guilty of disturbing the peace — domestic violence.

Anthony C. Thompson pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for three days served. Fine set at $623.

Wednesday, Sept. 17

Bruce Leonard Cauthen, 52, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 15 days in jail. No fines assessed. Cauthen also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentenced to 15 days in jail. No fines assessed. Cauthen was also charged with simple assault. Case dismissed — complainant failed to appear on previous court date. Cauthen also pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days in jail on each count. No fines assessed on each count.

Willard Sims Jr., 34, charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case dismissed — private rehab. Troy Brooks, 20, found guilty of possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $568.

Rebecca Boudra, 42, pleaded guilty to speeding (62 mph in a 45 mph zone). No fine assessed.

Lenny Cole Mize, 32, pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for three days served. Fine set at $623.

Patrick Donald, 26, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor credit card/numbers use with intent. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423. Restitution set at $42.76 to be paid to Concordia Bank.

Lisa Whitaker/Queen, 24, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473. Whitaker/Queen, also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523.

Marvin Queen, 29, charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case dismissed — co-defendant took responsibility.

Ashvinkvmar A. Patel, 45, pleaded guilty to trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.

Melissa Ann Brown pleaded guilty to shoplifting —first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for 24 hours served. Fine set at $853.
