FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Lonnie Matthews, 62, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Mr. Matthews was born Jan. 17, 1952, in Natchez, a triplet son of Charlie Wilson and Florence Matthews.

He was preceded in death by his father and four brothers, Charles, Harry Sr., Clarence and Jerry Matthews.

Survivors include his mother of Ferriday; one daughter, Kalevia Law; two sons, Lonnie Juan Matthews and wife, Aneka, all of Dallas, and Shane McCloy and his wife, Carrissa, of Kenner, La.; three grandchildren, Israel Matthews, Amira Florence Matthews and Lonqonjy Law, all of Dallas; two sisters, Carrie M. Lewis and husband, Stephen, of Monroe, La., and Dorothy M. Parker and husband, Joseph, of Clayton; five brothers, Andrew Bush and wife, Glenda, of Baton Rouge, Lewis Matthews Sr. and wife, Vina, Donnie and Ronnie Matthews, all of Ferriday; Harlon Matthews and wife, Jacquie, of Monroe; one aunt, Mary Ann Burden of Vidalia; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
