NATCHEZ — Services for Manfred Jackson Carr, 79, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Mr. Carr was born Dec. 12, 1934, in Virginia, the son of Wallace and Evelyn Carr.

He was a faithful member of St. Mary Basilica, a member of Knights of Columbus and a long time volunteer of the Guardian Collection.

Mr. Carr was preceded in death by one daughter, Victoria Jean Carr.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Carr; three daughters, Deborah Chase and husband, Leonard, Rebecca Carr and Angela Jacob; one son, Jerome Carr and wife, Candi; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives and friends.
