Don’t be scared to come trick or treat

It’s that time again.

On Friday, the Natchez Downtown merchants and the Natchez Downtown Development Association will host their annual Trick or Treat for Little Feet for Halloween.

Join us downtown from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for safe family fun as participating downtown merchants offer candy and treats — no tricks involved.

Merchants on Main, Commerce, Pearl and Franklin streets will be open to hand out candy and celebrate Halloween, Natchez style.

It will be safe, fun and is free. Make downtown Natchez the first stop for your Halloween celebrations.

Who will you see on the streets this year? Old favorites like Elvis and Marilyn? Will Walter White be strolling with someone from Duck Dynasty? Or perhaps a bit of Despicable Me? Bring you little ones in their Halloween costumes — and wear your own.

Even if you don’t want to dress up or bring your children you should come and see this event.

Natchez is always filled with “characters,” and this is a day we celebrate.

This is a great opportunity to have safe, family fun and support Natchez and its local businesses.

Main Street will be closed to automobiles.

Help make this the best Halloween ever and come trick or treat on the Natchez streets.

Once again, merchants on Franklin, Main, Commerce and Pearl streets will be handing out candy and going all out for Halloween from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

We hope to see you there.

Pj Forrest is the president of the Natchez Downtown Development Association.
