Come share your grief with all of us

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

My wife and I and several others are facilitating a class called “GriefShare” at Parkway Baptist Church on Wednesday nights at 5:30 this fall for people who have lost someone they love due to death. We have four more classes which will meet November 5, 12, 19 and 24 at 5:30 p.m. You are still welcome to come. This has been a 13-week series but you may enter at any time. The class has been a blessing to us as well as the many people who have attended.

As part of GriefShare, we will also be conducting a “Surviving the Holidays” one-time event at Parkway Baptist Church from 9 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, morning. We would like for anyone who has lost a loved one, who knows how difficult the holiday season is or will be, to come and bring someone to be with us for this event.

There are no strings attached. The event is free. We simply want to have resources available to help people with the upcoming holidays.

We are certain you will get not only a blessing from attending but you will gain valuable practical information as well. We would like to have a reasonable estimate for the number of people in order to have appropriate meeting space.

Please email me at glenn.mizell@yahoo.com or leave a message on the answering machine at 601-446-5805. We will have signs that Saturday morning at the church as to the meeting room that morning.

God willing, we will begin the regular GriefShare 13-week cycle again sometime in January for anyone who is either interested in coming back or want to come for the first time.

If you would like more information about GriefShare, please visit this website, email or Facebook me at www.griefshare.org

We look forward to seeing you soon.
