It was military appreciation night during the Cathedral Greenwave football game Friday night. As part of the day’s events, students heard from Capt. Chad Fleming from the United States Special Operations Command, 75th ranger regiment. During his 10 deployments overseas, Fleming was wounded in combat on three separate occasions. He has undergone more than 23 surgeries, which would later result in a partial amputation of his left leg. Since then he has been deployed five times — one of five Special Operations Soldiers cleared to return to fight. Fleming, above, accepts the game ball from the Air Evac Lifeteam.
