Mr. and Mrs. Gary Blackwell of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Blackwell to David Ryan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Ryan of Woodville.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and is attending Alcorn School of Nursing in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Vicki Byrne and the late Scott Byrne of Natchez and the late Alice H. Burkley and the late Lewis Blackwell.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Wilkinson County Christian Academy in Woodville and attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

He is employed by Great River Industries in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Carl DeLaney and Mrs. Peggy Ryan and the late Edwin Ryan, all of Woodville.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at St. Mary Basilica in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center.
