Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gene Cupit of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Bernadette Cupit to Ricky Barfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barfield of Newellton, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is employed by CLTCC Ferriday campus.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Newellton High School and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is employed by Three Rivers Farm Supply in Vidalia.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Vidalia.
