VIDALIA — Services for Cynthia Nugent Evans, 50, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Glen Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Cynthia Nanette Evans was born Jan. 6, 1964, in Jonesville, the daughter of Shelby Nugent and Sybil Carlton Nugent.

She was a homemaker.

Cynthia was dearly loved by many people. She was a great friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Edward and Hattie Carlton of Ferriday and paternal grandparents, Mack and Dovie Nugent of Lake St. John.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Jerry Evans; one son, Brent Evans and wife, Courtney, of Ferriday and their daughter, Brooklyn Alyssa Evans; her parents; one brother, Randy Nugent and wife, Nicole, and their children, Scott Nugent, Kayla Nugent, Cameron Nugent, Amy Nugent, Cassie Clem Nugent and Hanna Boyd; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a number of friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Taylor, Blake Bailey, Scott Nugent, Cameron Nugent, Roy Allen Nugent, Robert Newman, Daniel Cupit and Stephen Miller.
