FERRIDAY — Services for Clarence Johnson, 81, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Conserela Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 15, 1933, on Lake St. John, the son of Ed and Georgia Foreman Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Diane Thomas; and one brother, Robert Lewis.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Marie Brown of New Orleans and Beatrice Ceasor and husband, Herman, of Ferriday; one son, Napoleon Promise and wife, Angelique, of Chicago; one sister, Maggie Oglesby of Chicago; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
