NEW ERA, La. — Services for Ralph H. Denny, 76, of New Era, La., who died peacefully Friday, March 13, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Era Baptist Church in New Era with the Rev. Kenneth Ensminger officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Denny was born May 11, 1938, in Jonesville, the son of Henry Alford and Mary Viola Simpson Denny.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Vera Denny and Kathy Lipsey.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Bailey and Tonya Ensminger and husband, Allen; two brothers, Alvin Denny and Ronnie Denny and wife, Diane, of Keithville, La.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Will Lipsey, Glenn Lipsey, Brad Lipsey, Ross Lipsey, Casey Holland and Trey Goodwin.
