NATCHEZ — Natchez photographer Anne McDaniel recently attended the convention of the Professional Photographers of Mississippi and Alabama in Birmingham, Ala.

During the convention,  McDaniel participated in the photography competition, placing first in Architectural Photography, Portrait of a Man and Portrait of an Animal, and placing second place in Portrait of a Bride.

The architectural photograph of St. Mary Basilica was also selected as the Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Elsas People’s Choice Award, which is voted on by the members of the Professional Photographers of Mississippi and Alabama.
