VIDALIA — Services for Travis Lyle Hartley, 76, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sycamore Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Cullum and the Rev. Randy Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and at 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Hartley was born April 6, 1939, in Covington, Tenn., the son of Herbert M. Hartley and Meredith Hise Hartley.

He was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church and had proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Travis was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lynn Mathis; and one great-granddaughter, Aliya Jade Parker.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Patsy Rigdon Hartley; three sons, Cary Collier and wife, Deanie, of Baskin, La., Randy Collier and wife, Loria, of Ridgecrest and Jeff Hartley and special friend, Mary Jane, of Vidalia; one daughter, Stacy Ables and husband, Charles, of Frogmore; one brother, Wayne Hartley and wife, Sue, of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cary Collier, Randy Collier, Jeff Hartley, Lyle Collier, Cody Collier, Kyle Parker, Joshua Holmes, Dylan Hartley and Charles Ables.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy James, Rodgers Davis, Kevin Wilson and the Camelia Hospice team.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital or the Veterans Administration.
