Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Monday, July 6:

James D. Reed, 49, pleaded guilty to felony false pretense. Total fine set at 623.73.

Carolyn L. Devening, 48, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from store. Fine set at $573.

Chanel Stokes, 23, charged with simple assault. Case remanded to files – victim has moved; unable to serve subpoena.

Latondria I. Jefferson, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from K Mart. Fine set at $573.

Tiffany Jaynae Perkins, 21, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from K Mart. Fine set at $573.

Chelsea Sade Smith, 25, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Jerald Woods pleaded guilty to simple assault – domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 26 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for four days served. Fine set at $623.

Jerald Woods charged with disturbing the peace by fighting. Case remanded to files.

Tuesday, July 7:

Ray Anthony Gibson, 40, charged with grand larceny. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $42,000 to $30,000.

Larry E. Smith, 25, charged with grand larceny. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $42,000 to $30,000.

Victoria Wimberly, 32, pleaded guilty to simple assault – domestic violence. Sentenced to 60 days with 56 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Must serve four days in jail. Fine set at $800.

Cordell Wimberly, 51, charged with felony simple assault – domestic violence. Case dismissed in consideration of plea from Victoria Wimberly. She was the aggressor.

William Noland Harper Jr., 25, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor embezzlement. Fine set at $450. Restitution set at $1,000 to be paid to River City Rent-A-Car. Bond set at $9,000.

Brett Alan Hinson, 28, charged with sexual battery. Case bound over to a grand jury after preliminary hearing held. Bond set at $75,000.

Larry E. Smith, 25, charged with grand larceny. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $10,000 to $5,000.

Wednesday, July 8:

Colby Rose, 18, found guilty of shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 day suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

David Richmond, 19, found guilty of shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Sarah Rebold, 35, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473 minus $200 paid on this day. Must pay remaining fine of $273.

Dasha Lashea Thompson, 30, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Belk. Fine set at $678.

Mikkia May, 34, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Belk. Fine set at $678.

Devante L. Collins pleaded guilty to simple assault – domestic violence.
