NATCHEZ — Adams County voters will have another opportunity today to learn about candidates who are vying for elected office in the Aug. 4 primary election.

Jacqueline Marsaw, co-chair of the NAACP Political Action Committee, said the Natchez Branch of the NAACP and the Natchez Business and Civil League will host a “Meet the Candidate” political forum tonight at 6 p.m. at 412 Martin Luther King Jr. St., also known as The 601 Building.

“I think there are more candidates on the ballot this time than there ever has been and people are saying they don’t know who to vote for,” Marsaw said.

Candidates will be asked to answer three questions, she said, including:

-Why are you running?

-What is your vision for Natchez and Adams County?

-What do you intend to do if elected?

“We have invited all of the candidates who are running to participate. We won’t know exactly who is going to be here until they show up, but I think most are planning to participate,” Marsaw said.

She said refreshments would be served.
