NATCHEZ — Services for Edna Gaylor Johnson, 73, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ God’s Son with the Rev. Samuel Watkins Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Johnson was born April 12, 1942, in Natchez, the daughter of Ernest Brady and Cora Gaylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Bubba” Johnson; her parents; and her grandparents, Steve and Dora Gaylor.

Survivors include three daughters, Jacqueline Hawkins and husband, Irvin, Tammy Davis and Sierra Johnson, all of Natchez; two sons, Anthony Johnson of Natchez and Eric Davis of Leaksville; three sisters, Audrey and Cynthia Gaylor, both of Natchez, and Carolyn Brady of Chicago; two brothers, Adell and Otis Gaylor, both of Natchez; four stepchildren, Doris Lewis, Bonnie Johnson, Felice Johnson and Henry Johnson Jr.; “Madea” leaves six grandchildren, Rashaad Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, Candace Hawkins, Latara Davis, Rianda Gatlin and Kristi Lewis Holloway, all of Natchez; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
