Jack and Janna Fletcher of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Allyson Jade Townsend to William Douglas Gillespie, son of Ronnie Gillespie of Ferriday and Victoria Drew of Many, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is employed by Nikki’s Family Restaurant in Vidalia.

She is the granddaughter of Will and Liz Nations of Natchez.

The groom-to-be attended Vidalia High School and is employed by Terrebonne Wireline in Houma, La.

He is the grandson of Sue Gillespie and the late Harry Gillespie of Ferriday and Jack Drew and the late Joanne Drew of Many.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Community Center on Louisiana 15.

Family and friends are invited.
