Adams County Justice Court Cases

  Week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1

Johnqual Nix pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. Nix also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

Calvin Blake Jr. pleaded guilty to malicious mischief.

Marquaci Robinson pleaded guilty to malicious mischief.

Jeffery Hartley charged with possession of stolen property. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Lionell Hoggatt pleaded guilty to simple assault.

Darlene Beamer pleaded guilty to simple assault.

 

Adams County Circuit Court Cases 

Monday, Sept. 28

Michael Coleman pleaded guilty to count I of aggravated assault (gun without enhancement) in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections with five years to be served in the Mississippi Department of Corrections and the remaining balance of five years to be served on post-release supervision for a period of five years on formal reporting supervision through the Mississippi Department of Corrections. According to the plea agreement, the state dismissed counts II and III (both possession of a weapon by a convicted felon).

Emanuel Isiah Griffin pleaded guilty to arson (1st degree) in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections with credit for time served. Must pay all court costs and fees in the amount of $422.50, prosecution fees in the amount of $200.00, and $4,000 in restitution fees in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

 

Natchez Municipal Court Cases 

Friday, Sept. 25

Johnny Ray Green, 50, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations Fine set at $573.

Deloris J. Hamlin, 54, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $643.

Bernard Walker, 61, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473 minus $125 jail credit. Must pay a fine of $348.

Terrell Donvarres Page, 37, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473 minus $125 jail credit. Must pay a fine of $348.

 

Monday, Sept. 28

Bobby Kelly, 61, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Banned from all Walmart stores. Sentencing took place on Friday, Oct. 2.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 30

Justin C. Harville, 28, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $518. Harville was also charged with DUI – other substance. Case remanded to files due to lack of probable cause because of crime lab unavailable.

Cheryl L. Renfrow, 56, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $598.

Donald Carlton, 45, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Kelvin L. Foley, 32, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Joseph Collins England, 48, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $1,000. England also pleaded guilty to trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $400 minus $200 credit. Must pay a fine of $200. England also pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $923.

Zephaniah T. Reed pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from store. Fine set at $573. Restitution set at $29.88.

Bernard Walker, 61, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Shell. Fine set at $323.
