Gene A. Jones of Natchez and Margaret Burden of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Latoya Mysha Burden to Marcus Donald Pickett Sr., son of Leon and Tawana Lyles of Jackson and Gary and André Woods of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is employed by Wilkinson County Correctional Facility in Woodville.

She is the granddaughter of Mayor Gene Allen and Bonnie Allen of Ferriday and Christella Williams of Natchez.

She is also the granddaughter of the late Margaret D. Taylor and the late James D. Burden.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and is also employed by Wilkinson County Correctional Facility in Woodville.

His is the grandson of Leon Lyles Sr. and Joyce Lyles of Natchez and the late Margaret Pickett.

The wedding will be 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Vidalia.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at The Gables in Vidalia.
