Kalynn Elizabeth Chumney of Baton Rouge and Adam Warren Vegas of Natchez were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge. The Rev. Pattye Hewitt officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Craig Chumney of Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. JoLynn Davis Denning of Baton Rouge and the late Dr. and Mrs. Harold Glen Denning of Baton Rouge and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Chumney of Metairie.

Kalynn is a graduate of Episcopal High School and Louisiana State University.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Lee Vegas of Ferriday. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Pitre Vegas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clay King of Ferriday. Adam is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez, Louisiana State University and the Flores MBA program. He is employed by Delta Fuel Company in Ferriday.

The bride was attended by her sister and maid of honor, Krisann Ellen Chumney. Bridesmaids were Guylan Paige Britt, Jannah Collins Gray, Kathryn Louise Olivier, Mariana Paola Vicente, Nicolette Louise Ruzicka and Virgina Catherine Sotile. Flower girls were Margaret Ann Klar and Lyla Cate Reyes.

Serving as best man was Michael Daniel Simpson. Groomsmen included Andrew Clinton Vegas, brother of the groom, Blasé Edward Gaude, Chad Ellis Songy, Francis James Daniel Gasquet, Lewis Brock Vines and Taylor Alan Edwards. Ring bearers were Everette John Humphries and Grayson Ellis Tosspon. Dixon Wallace McMakin, Derek Lamar Spinks, Matthew Grayson Vines and Robert Barksdale Hastings served as ushers.

The ceremony scriptures were read by Margaret Grace Edwards and Kay Vegas Batte.

Following the ceremony, a reception was at The Baton Rouge Country Club. The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and will reside in Natchez.
