FERRIDAY — Services for Mary France Netherland, 82, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with Don Tate officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Netherland was born May 18, 1933, in Covington, Tenn., the daughter of Leonard Fuller and Lillian Fuller Richardson.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and retired after 38 years as bus driver with the Concordia Parish School System.

Mrs. Netherland was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas Ray Netherland; one son, Kenneth Netherland; two sisters, Dorothy Cockerham and Ruby Jones; and three brothers, Mike Richardson, Herman Richardson and Jerry Richardson.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen N. Fletcher of Ferriday; one son, Bubba Netherland of Watson, La.; one daughter-in-law, Linda Netherland of Ferriday; two brothers, Joe Richardson and wife, Rhonda, and Jimmy Richardson and wife, Janet, all of Vidalia; one sister, Brenda Richardson of Natchez; four granddaughters, Wendy Netherland Garrett and husband, Michael, of Vidalia, Sandy Netherland-Roberts and husband, Shad, of Ferriday, Abbie Gayle Netherland and Emilie Grace Netherland, both of Walker, La.; one grandson, Brandon Fletcher of Ferriday; four great-grandchildren, Raylyn Harkins, Payten Roberts, Kenneth Roberts and Chloe Pearl; and special friends, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Smith of Ferriday.

Pallbearers will be Peyton Moore, Ashton Moore, Seth Moore, Barney Carl Chandler, Barney Chandler and Shad Roberts.
