NATCHEZ — Megan Ashley Fink has joined the The Natchez Democrat as a reporter. Her primary responsibilities include reporting about Natchez city government.

Fink is a 2011 honor graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Hattiesburg, and she graduated magna cum laude from The University of Southern Mississippi in news-editorial journalism and political science in May 2015.

During college, Fink was editor-in-chief of Her Campus Southern Miss and a staff writer for the Student Printz. She was a member of Golden Key International Honour Society and the Kappa Tau Alpha mass communication and journalism honor society.

She is the author of “A Comparative Study of Middle Eastern Foreign Policy and Intelligence,” which was published through Lambert Academic Publishing in Saarbrücken, Germany.

Fink is engaged to marry Dennis Leoni of Natchez in April 2016.
